Privacy Policy

SHORTIA LLC ("we") publishes ShortMake.com and the Shortmake AI mobile app. This policy describes the data we collect, why, who processes it for us, and your rights.
1. Data we collect
- Account: email address, name, profile picture and account identifier, and how you sign in (email and password, Google or Apple).
- Your content: your messages to Shorty, ideas, series, characters, and the images and videos that are created. Photos are collected only if you choose to send them.
- Voice: the audio of a call with Shorty, only while you are on that call, to understand what you say.
- Purchases: products bought, amounts and transaction identifiers. Card and mobile money details are handled by the payment providers; we do not store them.
- Usage and diagnostics: how you use the app and site (screens, actions, session replays through Microsoft Clarity), app version, platform, device identifier and crash information.
- Notifications: a device token, if you allow notifications, and whether a notification was opened.
- Answers you give us: first name, goal, tools you use and how you heard about us.
On iPhone, your email can be linked to analytics sessions only if you accept tracking. The Android app does not use the advertising identifier.
2. How we use it
To run your account and create your series; to process payments and credits; to send service notifications and, where allowed, marketing messages; to provide support; to keep the service secure; and to measure and improve it.
3. Who processes it
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers that process it for us, and when the law requires it or to protect our rights:
- AI providers (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, ElevenLabs and video generation services): your prompts and content, to generate text, images, voice and video.
- Hosting and storage (Google Firebase, Cloudflare, Railway and similar providers).
- Payments (Apple, Google Play, Stripe and mobile money providers).
- Analytics and messaging (Microsoft Clarity, Apple and Google push services, email providers).
These providers may process data outside your country.
4. Public content
Content stays private unless you share it. A series you share through a link can be seen by anyone who has the link.
5. Keeping your data
We keep your data while your account exists. When you delete your account, we delete your data within 30 days, except what we must keep by law, such as payment records. See how to delete your account.
6. Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, export or delete your data by writing to contact@shortmake.com, and delete your account in the app. You can refuse notifications and tracking in your phone settings, and cookies in your browser. Some features may then not work. You may also complain to your data protection authority.
7. Security
Data is encrypted in transit. No system is perfectly secure, but we limit access to what the service needs.
8. Children
Our services are intended for users aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13, and we delete it if we discover any.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. We will post changes here and give more visible notice of significant ones.
